Using Esoteric means agreeing to what follows. We have tried to keep it short and honest rather than long and slippery.

What this is, and is not

Esoteric is a tool for reflection and entertainment. What it writes is a prompt for your own judgement — not a prediction, and not a demonstrated fact.

It does NOT provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. It will not predict illness, death, legal outcomes or investment returns — ask it those things and you will get a kind refusal rather than a number.

If you are in crisis, please reach a real person: a doctor, a therapist, or a support line where you live.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older.
• One account per person; do not share your sign-in.
• Keeping your password safe is your responsibility.
• We may suspend an account for abuse or for attacks on the service.

Candles

Candles are an in-product unit exchanged for deep readings. They are not currency, cannot be converted to cash, and cannot be transferred between people.

• Candles do not expire.
• A reading that fails part-way refunds its candle automatically, and the refund appears in your ledger.
• An operator can add or remove candles to correct a mistake, and every adjustment is recorded with its reason.
• Once candles can be bought with money, refunds follow the rules of the payment channel or app store involved.

Content

What you write is yours. We store and process it to run the features you are using, and you can delete it at any time.

The interpretive content, artwork selection and code of the product belong to Esoteric. The 78-card imagery is the 1909 printing, which is in the public domain.

Things break

We do not promise uninterrupted service. When an AI provider fails, you still receive the rule-based reading with a line saying so — and you are not charged a candle.

The product is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on what you read here.

Changes

If something material changes, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect.

Governing law
